TOUCH FOR MUSICIANS

By letting you create and process 2D/3D environments, images, QuickTime movies and MIDI/audio data for aesthetic compositions set to music, TouchDesigner and TouchMixer open up new possibilities for musicians and producers alike to create, author, perform and edit their own visual art for music videos.

The flexibility of Touch allows you to control any animation property you want, then play it live, or output it as QuickTime video. Control backgrounds or real images, and, as Touch is portable, all you need is a laptop or desktop computer equipped with Touch and projectors to display your scene.

Touch's vast array of features keeps animation in sync with audio straming from an MP3 or MIDI clock in a live performance setting. The internal timer can be synced to MIDI Clock or tapped in manually. Knobs, sliders and buttons control the image in realtime, while the external MIDI devices drive the control panels in TouchMixer.

The Niosumed video [Clip 1] is also available as a Touch synth. Created by Mordka for track Consumed by Force Inc.'s Twerk and released on the Reline DVD, it is available in the Artworks section of the website. Download the free TouchPlayer and play around with sliders. Output your own visual composition QuickTime through TouchMixer.
