TouchDesigner has a powerful new Keyframe CHOP that provides easy keyframing of any parameter in Touch. The Keyframe CHOP lets you create and edit channels with keyframes in a new Keyframe Channel Editor. Choose to work in frames, seconds, or beats for easy syncing to music.

TouchDesigner and TouchMixer supports video input. You can hook up a FireWire camera through ActiveX, and some analog composite or S-video cameras will work, as may some USB webcams. Live video can now be streamed into a Touch texture and played on a 3D surface.

.tmv Movie File Format
A new proprietary file format in Touch for streaming of uncompressed movies directly from disk. With controlled read-ahead and minimal use of memory, .tmv's advanced frame caching allows the artist to use higher resolution and longer duration movies without sacrificing frame rate or system memory. Includes a .tmv to .mov file converter.

Environment Mapping Effects
Can use any texture as a reflection map. Support for both box and sphere environment mapping.

Special Effects through Off-Screen Rendering
Touch can OpenGL render to images that are off-screen, which can be used as textures for other images. This opens Touch to a great range of new effects such as feedback effects and multi-frame time-offsets in movies.

Play QuickTime movies on 3D Surfaces
Touch plays multiple QuickTime movies on 3D surfaces faster by streaming video from disk to graphics memory. Short movie loops play even faster by using a 128-image cache on the graphics card and system RAM.

Preparing and Performing a Live Set with Segments and Presets
Recording and playing segments and presets in Touch is a powerful way to navigate and play a synth.

Icons for Segments and Presets
A new method to organize and view your settings. A snapshot of the viewer can be used as an icon for segments and presets, giving a visual representation of of that setting's 'look'.

MIDI Improvements
Touch now has the ability to map up to 1024 MIDI sliders and buttons using banks. Other improvments include an "Auto-Learn" feature, MIDI message logging, and support for MIDI Start/Cont/Stop commands. Built in MIDI preferences for Peavey, CM Labs MotorMix and Edirol PCR MIDI controllers.

Analyze Your Synth
The Performance Monitor gives a better analysis of what Touch is doing. It now gives a graphical picture of the cooking and drawing history of each frame drawn.

Move Your Touch Licenses with Ease
Derivative customers can move Touch licenses between computers independently via a web-based de-install / re-install. Derivative customers can log in to view their PROFILE and manage their Touch licenses. New "Mail Report" option in the License Manager to diagnose and resolve licensing problems quickly.

Upload Your Synths to the Derivative Catalog
Derivative customers can establish an ARTWORKS Label, and then upload and manage their synths in 100 meg of free catalog space.
